Powerscourt Distillery was founded to produce, inspire and celebrate Extraordinary Spirit.
Fercullen Single Malt is the first whiskey distilled in Wicklow in over 100 years – 100% distilled on Powerscourt Estate and 100% malt. Authentic and full of character, it takes its inspiration from its unique location in the foothills of the Wicklow Mountains.
To mark this defining moment in the story of the founding of the distillery, Powerscourt Distillery has announced a very special Award celebrating Co Wicklow; “The Spirit of Wicklow”.
The “Spirit of Wicklow” awards aim to celebrate the “Extraordinary Spirit”, passion, inspiration and uncompromising mindset of Wicklow and its people. The cooperation is seen every day in our communities, businesses, services, craftsmanship, culture and our connection to our unique and beautiful landscape.
Nomination Categories
There are four categories of awards, each of which relates to Powerscourt Distilllery’s Brand Values. The categories are:-

- Nominations open from April 28th to May 30th 2023.
- Nominations can be made from outside the County, but nominees (individual or group/business) must be either Wicklow-resident or working with a Wicklow-based entity.

AWARDS PRIZES
The Awards Winner in each category will receive a luxury hamper of Wicklow Produce, include a selection of exceptional Fercullen Whiskeys.
The overall winner, as chosen by the judges, who embodies the Extraordinary Spirit of Wicklow will receive a €2,000 bursary to be awarded to a charity of their choice.
