Fercullen Single Grain finished in an Imperial Stout infused cask from O Brother Brewing.
In 2021 our friends at O Brother Brewing requested some Fercullen single malt barrels to age an imperial stout. Opus One was released to critical acclaim in early 2022. A full-bodied imperial stout coming in at 12.5% was an instant hit amongst craft beer drinkers. We refilled the barrels with some grain whiskey and are delighted to release this special collaboration in time for Christmas 2022.
Bottled at 48.5% with an RRP of €75 and is available online and the Distillery.

Tasting Notes:
Nose: Chocolate lava cake, pastry crusts, cut straw, cracked walnuts
Palate: Rich chocolate ganache, roasted malts and vanilla
Finish: Fruits of the forest coated in double cream giving way to waves of oak spice
